Last sunday, i received an email from a firm stating that i have been shortlisted and have to like their page on facebook and follow their company on linkedin so that they can send me an IQ test which would eventually help me to pass interview/test. I do as directed but didn’t receive any response from their side as yet. BTW that wasn’t spam e-mail, i checked 26-02-2012 Dawn news paper and my sent items, i applied for that post but this is the first ever requirement i have seen in my life. Huh, seems they just wanted to enhance their FB fans. What you say?

Hitman, no doubt its an incredibly cheesy thing to do , doesnt look like a professional activity to me … I mean liking a page on facebook or linked in cant possibly get you closer to a job … I seriously think it was spam .. cant be for real ..
If you have serious doubts why dont you call up that company and try speaking to someone in HR and tell them what happend … they might be able to shed some light on it ![]()

@beef biryani ;) They didn't reply my email, nor did i receive any stupid IQ test from them. Well now i am pretty sure that was a scam, nothing else.

There are companies now out there who are selling likes. So it might have been one of those scams.
