Hey all fashionistas out there!

As there are many kind of shoes out there; flats, wedges, heels, pumps, sandals and so on. What kind would you wear with shalwar kameez and desi outfits and what is a BIG no no? Share your opinions and pictures!

I can start with, a big NO to sneakers underneath salwar kameez :stuck_out_tongue:

I always wear pakistani style shoes with shalwar kameez :hehe: you know the diamonte & stones walay flats or heels, Iā€™ve never worn pumps or wedges with shalwar kameez. Iā€™ll share some pics of my shoes after I take some :smiley:

I'm tall so I wear ballet flats (with casual shalwar kameez) and flat sandals

Oh what I would do to wear heels :(

Definitely trainers/ sneakers are a big no-no...it depends on the look of the outfit I guess but wedges would look too big and clunky so I wouldn't go there!

I wouldn't wear trainers or wedges with shalwar kameez

The very first thing to remember is- match your shoes with your outfit! It doesn't have to match perfectly but it should definetly compliment your salwaar kameez (so even if your shoes are a totally different color, as long as it compliments the outfit it's do-able!).

Given that i'm quite petite I always have heels on with my salwaar kameez and churi pyjamas- heels look especially awesome with the latter. But I don't mean the chunky heels, I mean the stilleto ones. Be careful though girls- you don't want to trip, so make sure you practise walking in them first. They don't have to be ridiculously long heels- just enough to look pretty and feminine but at the same time comfortable.

And as a couple of people have mentioned- trainers/runners/sneakers are a big no no. Please don't do it- it's ugly.

I absolutely love the pointed toes, am practically fascinated by them. For dialy wear, i like pumps.

I have to agree pumps looks good with salwar kameez too, and that is mostly what i use for everyday. :) But i have seen some ppl wearing very strange shoes...

I have still yet to find a nice flats, i never seem to find good ones :s my bad luck i guess..hihi...

Hmm..what about gladiator sandals? Would you wear them with salwar kameez or no? I saw a girl the other day, and she was wearing them, it looked pretty on her. But would others do the same?

What would ppl wear with casual desi outfits? Pumps and stilettos with them too or would you stick to flats??

Donā€™t like wearing shoes (that cover my feet too much) or high heels when i wear shalwar kameez. Prefer to wear something like this:

Kool, i have something similar i was thinking of wearing this summer :) I liked picture 3, what are they called? I've seen ppl wearing such sandals in Pak...but never found some..

The style of the sandals in pic number 3 are called" toe loop" or ā€œtoe postā€ sandals, and those specific ones are from Office, costing Ā£40. They come in black as well:
