What kind of carreers involve both engineering and business?

In other words, is it possible to become an engineer and get into business or are both too

time consuming alone?

yes, actually many managers in technology companies rise from engineering ranks and get into mgmt.

You could opt for technical management after a few years of hands on experience in the feld or if you're just starting, I'd say go into technical sales.. it gives you a lot of exposure towards the business side and you get to make a lot of new contacts, which in the long run doesn't just help broaden your horizons but also helps you land a commercial position.... but a personal advise from someone who did exactly the same; don't opt for a commercial side role unless your engineering company is really really big.. otherwise you're better off on the technical or project management side... just my two cents...
