Well, my mom’s family came to Pakistan from Bangladesh in 1974. The only reason people migrated from Bangladesh to Pakistan was b/c they were not Bengalis by race (My mom’s family is Arab and Pashtoon by descent) and did not consider Bangladesh their homeland, but preferred to be in Pakistan which is the homeland for Muslims in the subcontinent.

I thought Pakistan (including east pak) was founded based on 2-nations theory.

Where did this race thing come from?
