That is a different bid. I think maybe in the subcontinent it is known as a "tender" maybe? An auction bid is "i'll give you x money for that fancy doohickey there." A construction bid is "We propose to do the project for xxx money, and we will adhere to the following specifications..."

a contractor provides you with a "taKhmina = estimate"...is that the word you are looking for? what's the exact usgae?

Maybe. When talking about major project bids -- like govt sized ones: The Dept of Corrections Calls for Bids for The Construction of 3 New Prisons.

YES, if u r providing 'estimates' for the project then u may use the word 'taKhmina'...u do NOT make plural like that by changing 'a' to 'e'. taKhmina is both singular and plural
