Some women say:
You will never know what it feels like to be a mother until you actually get pregnant and give birth.
How true or false is this statement? And where does it leave those women who adopt a child?

Re: What it feels like to be a Mother...
yes this statement is true. women say that being a mother is the best feeling in this world. it is very true coz a mother bears so much pain to bring her child in the world. and thats why mothers have such a special place in islam. but it doesnot mean ladies who adopt a child cannot feel that feeling (ofcourse they wont be going through the birth experience) but after birth the next big stage is the upbringing which a non biological mom can do to with her affection and motherly love.
Re: What it feels like to be a Mother...
Motherhood is not all about carrying a baby in your body and giving birth (those are 9 months in total) raising and caring for years baby plays a huge role. It's not easy to take care of a baby....like people say "palay ki mohabbat bohat hoti hai" .
I have great respect for people who adopt children. You need a big heart to upbring a child who is not born out of your body not everyone can do that.

and then there are some who say even having a c-section is not the "same thing" as actually giving birth.
