What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

:salam2:

Do they really exist? How do a Muslim explain to a fellow-muslim and/or a non-muslim if he or she asked this question?

Plz share your views :jazak:

Are you serious?

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

well tell them its the evolutionists (term courtesy of psyah) trying to fool the whole world into believing in their hocus pocus...

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

Peace LLK

The holy Qur'an among other things is a handbook for humanity ... It tells us how we should live our lives. Ask them back, in such a book what would be the scope and purpose to include dinosaurs?

On the other hand we are not closed to the suggestion of them.

We know it is the Sunnah of God to give life to a race/nation for a time and later to replace them with others ... There is no reason why this cannot be applied to animal kingdoms, we know that creatures lived on the earth before man from the angels discussions regarding the vicegerency, we know that Allah is Lord of the Worlds, which implies We can accept there are other domains of life, not only now, but in the past and in the future, not only on the ground, but in the tree tops and oceans, not only this planet but also other planets, not only in physical existence but also in another out of phase domain occupying the same space ... Such as Jinn. We can say that our scriptures may not contain information about dinosaurs, but we can also say that science does not claim to be able to know about Jinn.

But what we can see in the way of fossils ... is adequate evidence that they existed ... And the Qur'an instructs us to look to creation. Allah (SWT) says that if the world of trees were made to pens and oceans made to ink even if replaced over, sooner would they come to an end than the Words of God. So we can be sure there are many matters outside the Qur'an that are scripturally unknown to us, but through science some can be discovered by us.

Even then the knowledge of the greatest minds combined will be a drop in the ocean of the knowledge of RasoolAllah who himself is by knowledge a drop in the ocean of Knowledge.

Re: What ‘Islam’ says about existance of Dinosaurs?

no they dont exist anymore.

Well you can either believe facts or you can believe fairytales.
fact is that dinosaurs existed a long time ago, got extinct and their fossil remains still remain.
fairytale is the religious version of creation.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

I dont think it is a valid question. When Quran was written there was no knowledge of Dinasaurs or any other creature of pre cretaues era.

to answer your question, yes dinasours existed and still exist. They didnt go extinct, not all of them.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

The same that it says about which bus to take when you next go to your office and about how computers work or if computers exist at all or not. Its not a book about archaeology. Tell your fellow muslim to refer to a science book.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

Peace Jaanaan,

Your this post proven that you don't have any knowledge of religion or never believed in a religion.

Back to the topic..... I think there is no written text in the Book Qur'an and in Hadith that confirms or deny the existence of these creatures but if we read a verse 30 from chapter 2, there is a word used 'shed bloods', which as per many scholars indicates before creation of Hazrat Adam a.s. these creatures were created/existed.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

your so called "scholars" will come up with many interpretations just to prove the holy book is compatible with science.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

:D

Good post.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

they still do ?

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

the underlined has been revealed to us, its something that i have come across

we are told to know that Allah revives the earth after its death. its a repeating theme from the Quran covering both land and life

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

Yes. No jokes :)

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

Does it matter with our faith in any any way whether they exist or not?

Re: What ‘Islam’ says about existance of Dinosaurs?

Peace,

Jannan, :hat: for reminding me about those threads. Let me open a new topic. Thanx

mirage,

What cross my mind is that the verse 30 from chapter 2, where the angels said: “Will you put there one that will do evil and shed blood”. So before Hazrat Adam a.s., so was there any other creature lived on the earth?

That was the whole point.

Re: What 'Islam' says about existance of Dinosaurs?

When the quran was written, they didn't know about dinosaurs or their existence. So I'm sure you will find no direct mention.

Of course you will find many modern Islamic fluff masters who can provide you with various theories, explanations and excuses that make them feel better
