Like a flowing river, keep moving till it ends? or like on long drive with no destination in mind, and take whatever road comes first? or a person who set out with a clear mind about destination & what route to take.
I like the flowing river analogy.
Like a river we should adapt to whatever circumstances life throws in our way.
Like a river we should flow gently over the rocks or meander around the bigger hills (ie what we cannot overcome, we should pass it by)
Like a river we should confine ourself to the banks.
Like a river, we should maintain the distinct sweeteness of our waters and not mix it with the salty waters of the ocean, even when we have to come close to the ocean.

No one can rely only on one's own common sense in the initial stages of life. It is through the wisdom of religon, books and our elders that we are able to learn to develop our common sense and wisdom. Life is too short to discover everything by ourselves, rather it is better to learn from the knowledge that has been proved reliable for hundreds of years.
Newton said that I have been able to see far more than others by standing on the shoulders of previous giants.
i dont have any philosophy of life - i just live my life without pushing myself to do anything and accept the outcome as Allah's will whether i like the results or not ;S
life is a river. it will flow acc to the gadient.
whenever there is a chnge in gradient, u may need to turn. but u shud always have the destiny in mind(the ocean, in other words contentment). and just like it doesn't matter where the river reaches the ocean, it doesn't matter what field u choose to work in. the ultimate thing is bing content in life.
