treat others how you want to be treated,
dont put off till 2moro what can be done today,
A problem shared is a problem solved,
lifes to short, to sit and worry about things,
live for the future not in the past,

One of my favourites is by René Descartes:
"Me tenant comme je suis, un pied dans un pays et l’autre en un autre, je trouve ma condition très heureuse, en ce qu’elle est libre."
Translated to: Staying as I am, one foot in one country and the other in another, I find my condition very happy, in that it is free. :)

My favourite motto is this one from my Pir murshid.
Dar Duzak da batkarra noo,
Ka ho Jannat nek or kara no,
Jo Ashik Nabi diye zulfa da,
wo duzak jannat ki jahnaye.
I also believe:
“It is better to live like a lion for a day than a jackal for a millienium” Tipu Sultan King of Mysore, 1750-1799 PBUH.
One to keep inmind for every statesman is:
“Hope and pray for peace, but arm and prepare for war” Sun Tzu- Chinese General writing in 200 BC.
One for everyone in poverty or pain who strives for advancement:
“Through suffering comes wisdom” Acheolus-Famous 4th century BC greek philosopher and tutor. Contemrorary of Aristotle.
