hey my nana told me that controlling birth is against islam and y even do somehting or try/ plan to that would make u take or use birthcontrol pills or whatever!!!
"The devil has put a penalty on all things we enjoy in life. Either we suffer in health or we suffer in soul or we get fat."
Sheep skin make shift condoms are the earliest form of birth-control methods known to humans
Hey one more thing
These things are hard to explain
For some it seems strange... to swallow
The frontier of our minds
Is the last place we find
But maybe the first place we should go
I am learning so much here. It seems to me that inorder to be really safe, we should be practicing a combination of the suggestions you all posted.
Here is how I would practice safe sex;
1) Obtain birth control pills.
2) Abstain from taking pills.
3) Drive all over town looking for a sheep.
4) Force sheep to take a cold shower.
5) Go to a seperate room and take one month supply of hormone therapy.
6) Give sheep a vesectomy.
7) Turn sheep into condom.
8) Enjoy!
Suppose a girl is pregnant say 2 month pregnant. Can she go through abortion. What is the restriction on the pregnancy time for abortion. ? I was just thinking ahead you know.

Thats a bit narrow-minded isn't it? Contraception after marraige is an issue for both partners, not just for the man to think 'she'll take care of it'

But Farhana ,my question is why do we need birth control information for 10 till marriage age until you want to be like animals.AFTER MARRIAGE WITH THE CONSENT OF HUSBAND YOU CAN HAVE VASECTOMY OR TUBAL LIGATION OR PILL OR UMPTEEN METHODS THAT WAS NOT THE MAIN THRUST OF MY POST
You did not answer my question WHY??????
barque(bijli) yoon akadti hai apne karname pe ke
jaise phir naya hum aashiyaan bana nahi sakte
my question is why do we need birth control information for 10 till marriage age until you want to be like animals

why not provide information? This is what the corner room is about, providing information on "taboo" topics like these for people.
Firstly, I doubt there are "children" of the age 10 here on this forum.
Secondly, why shouldnt't people be informed of the different methods of contraception available to them.
Whether you want to accept it or not, people, (male and female) are having sex before marriage.
Yes, we all know that it is wrong and Islam condems this type of behaviour, but it happens, not only in the UK/US/Canada, but in Pakistan/India/Bangladesh. So, why not provide people with relevant information that will protect them from unwanted pregnancies, HIV and other forms of STI's.

I was under the impression that important decisions like these are made between both the husband and wife......
You can use pills. As far as I know it does have some rare side effects like:
spots on the legs (mostly behind your legs).
Some people put on wait.
The biggest side effect which might not be a problem for couples is that it gives woman more chances of having twins ( I am not sure about this one).
Onces you go off the pills, it might take longer to get pregnant. I have heard from ladies that it take upto 6 months to conceive.
Now for those people who are against this practice. All I can say is that Islam's teaching is to marry your children when they sexually active which in Arabs used to be Man 15 and woman 13 (which is the puberty). In this age of time, you are in school at that age and you need to make a future. I think you should get married as soon as you get a job, to be able to support your wife. Get a house, a car and then have children. You have the right to sleep with the partner once you are married and sex does bring you two together. I am married and planning children once I get mortgage.
mbm.- that's exactly what i was wonderring about. thanx for the info.
ghoncho: women in sialam aren't supposed to have an abortion. i'm not sure what the ruling is if there is a threat to the mother. rationally i would think if it's a severe case, then you could abort the fetus.
azad- you are missing the point of this thread. who is talking about pre-marital sex?

Bharysh! Regarding Abortion, there are different points coming in. I will try to explain as best as I can.
1) If we are talking about married couples, there must be some thing that people used to do for contraception. But obviously the lake of communication between parents and children is the result that we don’t know about those practices.
2) If we talking from Islamic point of view, I am sure that you can have the abortion if Mother is in life and death situation.
3) But if we talking about the case like Rape, then I don’t know. But using my common sense, I would think that, if proved the Rape case then
i) The Guilty party either be forced to marry the lady (which people might not agree on)
ii) He should be punished for his evil act and allow the Mother to either carry on with the pregnancy or abortion. The child will be not legal (I don’t know if there is a better word I can use) and that the society might not accept the child.
I will be more the happy to listen to other people’s ideas on this issue.
