different things for different occasions. Like on birth of children its Laddoo (in Shahi Muhalla -red light area of Lahore they distribute Jalebi on this occasion). Sooji ka halwa on shab e baraat (You can call it Muslim festival in Shaban - 8th Month of Islamic calendar). Then there is sheer khurma (a sweet with siwayyan and dates) on Eid ul Fitr (choti Eid). Kheer is prepared by new Bahoo when she first cook something in sasural

wow that is interesting. Every sweet has a new matlaab. I know karachi is famous for its sweets. We have stores here which sell karachi sweets

Really??? that's awesome. So you know all the types and flavours of Shaan Masala? My friend said that Shaan Masala do a factory tour for tourists and you get free tasting sessions. Woh sach hai or was she pulling my leg?
I guess not a specific sweet but the usual ladoos, kaju ki barfi and jalebis.

May be Shaan does that occasionally as marketing campaign. But I myself didn't experience that.
As far as Karachi sweets is concerned, its just a name.. Like we have Meerath Kabab in Karachi
