I had it natural on my wedding day, cheeks flush not candy coloured streaks, lipstick a shade lighter pink but nothing too fake, and foundation to the correct skin tone - not lighter! Makeup should enhance your features not disguise them! Th e only thing heavy i think a girl can get away with is eye makeup, and even then garish colour mixes look kinda scary, whereas the arab thick eyeliner looks exotic and elegant. Overall you should look like you are still you, so your hubby recognises you! Plus ALL men will say they hate heavy makeup, arent you trying to look nice for him too? Plus ive seen sum girls after their wedding show me their wedding pix and they look amazing in them and then i glance at them whilst with them and cant believe the difference! Allah maaf kare but you cant help noticing!you do not want people to be so shocked! Lol

When it comes to make-up, imo, less is always more.

Like Sfm said, you hubby should be able to recognize you. And I think the same about the pictures. I don’t want people thinking I looked prettier on my wedding day with layers of make-up rather than my normal self.

Some people want to look totally different whereas others want to look as much like themselves as possible.

What is your preference?

I think I am more of a natural girl.

I like a hybrid of both...those (for me) are the best MUAs- a dramatic look that looks, natural. Message me if you want a recommendation if your getting married in Chicago.
