It’s so bizarre, and terrifying to see the downward spiral of people’s lack of tolerance to the point of shooting others, vulgarity in public places, and all sorts of other things that may have been present all along, but weren’t as widespread as they are now. Or is it because we just have quicker access to the world, so we notice and see more of it?
Check this: Of all people, a Judge and Lawyer fighting at a hearing, for a defendant who is there for charges of Assault and Resisting.
Couldn’t hear the first word the public defended said. He came with an attitude. Why would u want to piss of the judge when ur client could be the one getting the short end of the judges what (if that’s the correct t phrase or is stick).
But the judge instigated the fight
“If I had a rock I would throw it at you”
“Sit down”.
“If you want to fight step outside”
He should be fired. And arrested for starting a fight and disturbing .the peace.
I think people are becoming more agitated intolerant of others more than ever. Perhaps, it is because we feel like we are more heard than ever before so we share more about ourselves than ever before. This almost leaves us territorial and defensive of what we put forth about ourselves and share about ourselves thru social media so when we hear or read something unsavory, we bite back. Obviously I am not saying this about everyone but just a near midnight observation.
I think we have this tendency of getting worked up way too soon, resulting in us using harsh words to address other people. This in turn leads to negative feelings.
If you notice, people before us used to be conscious or at least used to make conscious effort to be kind and soft spoken . We dont do that any more. We do not have the patience to talk in a kind manner. This one quality is capable of defusing so many situations.
To be honest people have always been like that. We have always cheated, killed, abused, caused chaos since ancient times. But now with social media and the fact of having a population hundreds times more than ancient times…every problem is magnified.
having this one quality nowadays mostly means being bulldozed into submission and treated as a doormat … be it your work, home, friends, family, friends whatever …
Did a bit of digging. There is only one aggressor here. That’s the judge. He was asking the public defender to have his client waive his CONSTITUTIONAL right to a speedy trial. And the public defender refused. As he should have. At which the judge talks about thriwng a rock at him. Orders him to sit down. The asks him to step outside for a fight. Wand sucker punches the public defender. Who did not throw a punch.
Too often we blame both sides. Not here we won’t. Unfortunately the lead public defender wont press charges. And judge has stepped down temporarily for anger management.
