-Since I’m suffering from hair loss, I’m always reading posts on here about remedies…however i never have the time/patience to “grind” stuff and leave it on for 3 hours every day, etc. So I took some tips from everyone and decided to experiment and needless to say, its been about 3 weeks and I am literally seeing a difference in the amount of hair loss! Here is what I’m doing:
-I started taking a 1000 mcg of Biotin everyday (I know people take 2500 mcg for good results, but I heard that taking a high amount can cause acne breakouts and I don’t want to risk that (1000 mcg biotin tablets are literally 2 bucks at the stores).
- I also started taking a one-a-day woman’s multivitamin everyday (the hair loss could be due to lack of vitamins, and this will make up for it..it also has folic acid which is good for hair loss problems too).
-Once or every other week I put kalonji oil in my hair before sleeping and wash it out in the morning.
- I have really oily hair so I wash my hair everyday with a shampoo…Therefore I switched my everyday shampoo to Johnson and Johnson’s baby shampoo. It has wayy less chemicals and it does the same thing as all the other shampoo’s: washes out the oil buildup…
-I read on forums that “methi dana” is really good for your hair in hair loss, but I don’t have time to “soak it overnight” and then “grind it,” so I wen to the desi store, and I found already ground methi dana in powder form!!! I took 1/2 tbs (or less) of the methi dana powder and added it to my full bottle of baby shampoo, and shook it really well.. remember methi dana is a “masala” so you don’t want to put too much fo it, do it according to how much shampoo is in the bottle.
-I also bought Neem Powder form the desi grocery store (its right by where all the face mask’s are) and also put in 1 tbsp of the powder to the shampoo. I then mixed it to the shampoo as well.
-When I get in the shower, The first thing I do is apply the shampoo in my hair (after thoroughly shaking the bottle, (it can get lumpy), lather and massaging my scalp. I then leave the shampoo in my hair and do everything else, when I’m ready to get out, I then wash my hair out thoroughly and sometimes apply a conditioner. You might feel a slight tingeling in your scalp due to the methi dana.
-For you guys that are concerned if the methi dana will wash out of your hair…it really does wash out, just make sure you don’t put a lot of the methi dana/neem in the shampoo and if you wash it out good, it will come out. If it still doesn’t feel like its coming out, you can always wash it with a normal shampoo as a backup.
And thats it! my hair feels better with the shampoo. Its so easy! Im noticing a shine, thickness, and also less hair fall. I know its going to take time to see full results Perhaps its due to the multivitamin/biotin, but im seeing results with this, so I thought I would share it with you all that have hair loss problems and also that don’t have time to grind and apply stuff to hair for hours.
hope I helped! ![]()
