it's widely used. i remember going to the doctor in India and people used to explain their condition by using the word :Safraa: ...

Never heard if it before. We use Qay or ulti for vomit.

qai or ulTii is the all the content that is thrown out...at the end you spit out yellow bitter stringy matter and it's called bile juice. in Urdu, we call it SAFRA. :)
