I follow my heart.

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

Follow the heart and if I m still uncertain, seek advice from abu/ammi janee.

Or sometimes, I pray do-nafal aur Allah mian say dua mangtee hoon yaAllah mujhay sidha rasta dikha.. aur buss jo samajh aye.. Allah ko yaad karkay faisla karlety hoon...

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

very nice topic, penguin.

all kinds of decision making requires logical reasoning and also the ever more challenging personal priorities or familial obligations. the key is balance.

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

i partly follow my heart and partly seek advice

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

I use my instinct, when ever i took some one's advice I got into trouble/un-easy situation.

And when I can't decide and vision is blurred, At I night after my isha prayer I ask allah to make things clear for me. Usually next morning I am always in right state of mind to make my decision.
God is alway have bn kind to me.:)

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

I weigh the procs/cons out for each choice.. like when I was applying to different Colleges, I wrote down everything that was good/bad about each College.. made a decision myself based on it.. then asked a close friend, spoke to my dad & went for what seemed like the best choice to me :)

Istekhara is best

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

If its a materialistic choice - deduce to only FACTS and remove the uncertainity altogether. Simply the situation (by ignoring parts that are confusing you). Also try to "Divide and conquer" the problem.

If its the matter of the heart - Just give it time. You will settle for somefin.
Istakhara is essentially the same thing - as the translation says that you are requesting God to help you make better choices (as oppose to commonly held beleif of SHOWING YOU A SIGN)

Re: what is ur way of making decisions?

It depends on situation and the decision. If it demands I seek advice from people in the know/experts, I do seek advice. If it demands that I follow my heart I do follow my heart. It it demands I toss a coin I do toss a coin. If it demands that I seek Allah(SWT) help I do seek Allah's help.
Not all situations and decisions are same.
