okay before getting a bite from an earwig i thought lets google so this is i found....they don't bite but may pinch and it's rather painful.

You need to look out for any broken pincers or curved forceps left back in your wound. So the answer to do earwigs bite humans is yes, they may if threatened or sat upon by mistake. But earwigs bite are rarely dangerous and not known to cause any major harm, just a bit of pain for sometime.

so now i'm thinking i shouldn't feel guilty in killing them if i see them near my kids.
