Re: What is this fear/insecurity among women???
KA, the insecurity comes from past history. Women have brains that are quite as capable as those of men. They also have needs and feelings. Historically, women were always treated as property or as slaves...and when things improved their lot, it still did not measure up to the men in areas like equal pay for equal work etc.
So when a man says that he wants a wife to "see to his needs and his comfort" and to stay home and raise the kids, it sounds like more of the same, kwim?
I am SO happy to stay home and raise the boyz and take care of home things. Its what I want and what my hubby wants for our family. Yet, we are in equal partnership, we both have our "jobs" to do, we have mutual respect for each other and each other's feelings (well most of the time lol). Anyway, the point is that we each view it as a partnership of equals rather than a master/subservient relationship.
If you take that approach, you will do SO much better. Phrasing things the way you did makes it sound like you want a mommy-wifey to cater to your every need and heck with hers. Us ladies are people too ya know!
