How come it’s become a trend that guys in their late 20s and early 30s marry girls almost 10 years younger thean them? It’s quite common nowadays…back in vogue from the 70s I guess. What gives?
the trend is real old. What i find irritating is, when a guy here marries an older woman people go big O. i am talking about pakistani families they never like it if a guy marries an older woman or are embarrassed if they are woman's relative even if the difference is only 1 or 2 years

hayy its not THAT wrong i cant understand WHY and HOW some guy or gal can ruin their physique.....other then medical reasonz.....
I dunno if its a trend, but have heard of quite a few family friends from other generations that married in that manner.
you'll find all sorts of combinations sweetpie, i haven't seen one distinct trend...i've seen 30 yrs old ka munda getting married to 18 yrs kurri...i've seen 22 yrs olf munda getting married to 24 yrs old kurri...28 ka munda with 30 kee kurri...har kisi ki apni kismat :)
personally i dont think age is an issue at all, as long as the two individuals are both adults and committed to each other... :)
Its not a trend most of these guys are not left with another choice, mostly in our culture parents marry there girls of by the age of 18 to 21.
So when a 30 year old guy (or a guy in his late 20's) decides to get married, girls his age are nearly impossible to find as girls his age have already been married.
There are so many other issues which roam in our society, ull hear people say stuff like "this gal is 26 or 25 how come she still aint married, there must be something wrong with her" and stupid crap like that. So what u see at the end of it all is a guy who is about 30 marrying a lil young gal who is only 18 or 19. Its all a bit sad if u think about it.
