What is the White Cloth Muslims wear on their Heads?
I saw many Arabs wear that. It is NOT a Turban.
It is just a White CLoth they wear on top of their heads, like a towel folded like a sausage and just placed on your head.
What does that mean?
Like OBL is wearing it in a recently released Video!!!
Arabs live in deserts. Deserts have heat. Heat is bad for the head. White cloths reflect sun light, black cloth do not(thats the reason for its color-white). Sun light produces heat. So, to keep themselves safe from HEAT of the SUN in deserts, arabs wear white cloth over their head. People have been doing it for centuries, and NOW you notice?!!!
I sure hope that you are keeping a journal of all the questions that you ask out of sheer curiosity and the apt responses that you get. It will make for some excellent memoirs or perhaps some sort of a research paper because after all you are doing research right!
May I suggest a title? I think "Andhera is now Ujala" is a catchy name which is sure to get the attention of other Bharatis and thus spare us the pain of having to quell any later thirst for knowledge.
What happens when we’re dead? The irony is that all our questions will be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we’ll find out what it is, is to get hit by a bus. And the only comfort that religion offers is that God is driving that bus.
All racists who are prepared to die for their contry, please do that now.

look at your words ''
"like a towel folded like a sausage and just placed on your head."
according to my knowldege there is no religious signifiance of it. Its just a cultural thing and may be protection from sun.
I think turban or topi look better than this kind of head clothing. these head garments look vary from place to place and country to country.

First u ask what that white cloth is, and what it means. Then you were slapped with an appropriate response, so you decided to yada yada it, and retort by saying, you asked if it had any religious significance. Where did u ask that?
Religious significance belongs to that white string you tie around your waist or wherever. We use it as an azaarbund. Dont ask me what that is.
I have lots of question to ask myself on what do most indians wear and do, but I am not going into that. I think that white cloth you are talking about is called a "ghatua" or something like that. BUT if you put in near some of the things that Indians wear then my God it looks good.

you asked if it had any religious significance. Where did u ask that?<<
I asked that when I said ‘What Does That MEan?’ Since Arabs are religious and devout by all accounts and since I asked the question in ‘REligion’ forum, I probably meant Religious Significance didn’t I ?
If you know what that tradition means share the info, if you don’t well Watch the thread!!!
You auestions are always so cynical thats why…
