‘Rung main Bhang daalna’.
What is the link between Rung and Bhang. Is it just rhyming that bring both things together?
What is the story behind phrase
Maybe it's alluding to how Bhang is an intoxicant that heightens the senses and emotions, so "rung main Bhang daalna" means to intensify the color....make something more enjoyable

Rang me bhang daalna is largely used to describe something negetive. I believe it is mostly used to describe anti-climax occurance.
Maybe it's got something to do with festival of holi where rang and bhang are both used by people who take part in the celebration. The rang is when people cheerfully play with colour and bhang is when people get high on cannabis/ opium (?) and act obnoxious.

jaisay.... main apnay doston kay sath ghomnay jaraha hon... aur main bohat enjoy karonga par ain waqt par program khatam hogiay..... to jis wajah say program khatam howa woh bhang hia.... aur maza rang tah...
