I hate to bring religion into this, but the islamic punishment for rape is very strict, however to get to that you need 4 witnesses and that itself is ridiculous. Yeah a rapist is going to have 4 witnesses.

The 4 witness requirement kicks in ONLY when a 3rd party or state wants to bring a charge of adultery or fornication against a couple engaging in consentual sex. It has nothing to do with rape.
For rape all a woman has to do is point her finger at the man and plead her case in the court. A simple medical test or whatever the prevalent method of the day and time could be used to get the man convicted. And yes if she wins, she can ask that the man be stoned to death. Its her choice upon winning the case.
Just because so called Islamic states are implementing some *******ized versions of laws under the name of Islam does not make their laws Islamic.
Most, if not all, Islamic laws have very solid and rationale social and legal foundations.

Then why is it that capitalism and democracy work just fine in Western nations? If these things are evil, then why do some many in the West, including Muslims benefit from it?

It seems to you and some Muslims that democracy and captalism are goin fine in west, isn't is because what wealth they have is by using brutal force to take resources from Muslim lands is because of agent rulers and no Islamic Laws. Which Muslim country do you think is Islamic, NONE. COZ Muhammad SAW said a land whose inhabitants are non muslims and ruled by Islamic laws is Dar Al Islam(Islamic Land) and a land whose inhabitants are muslims and ruled by Kufr laws is Dar Al kufr, so religion does not matter. Well there are some Islamic laws in Muslim countries which are just for marriage, divorce and all the ruling system is democratic and republic which are the same, that is what we see opression in Muslim countries coz the agent rulers secure the intrests of west and people what u say muslims takin benefits are misguided.

For Muslims to adopt democracy means to disbelieve in all - may Allah forbid - the decisive and conclusive evidences, among which are many Qur’anic verses which oblige them to follow the law of Allah and to reject any other law. Moreover, these verses consider any o_ne of them who does not follow or implement the law of Allah as either a Kafir, a zalim, or a fasiq,
"And those who do not rule by whatever Allah has revealed are non-believers (Kafiroon)." [TMQ 5:44]
"And those who do not rule by whatever Allah has revealed are oppressors (zalimoon)." [TMQ 5:45]
"And those who do not rule by whatever Allah has revealed are transgressors (fasiqoon)." [TMQ 5:47]
Thus, whoever does not rule by whatever Allah has revealed, denying Allah’s right to legislate, as is the case with those who believe in democracy, is a Kafir according to the explicit words of the Qur’an, because by doing so he is rejecting those decisive verses, and denying a conclusive text makes a person a Kafir as the Muslim Fuqaha’ agreed unanimously.
