^ You mean every little thing you do has its impact somewhere - no matter how small the action is. What do all these big and small actions account to in the end?
In the end they account for all your goodness....naiki ka phal...
Couldn't have said it better. I like that phrase - naiki ka phal.
Yes - that is what I mean. So each of us, each living being is significant, no matter how small. As to what all of these actions amount to in the end - in the end the earth as we see it will probably be destroyed. But between now and then, each of us can leave our (hopefully) positive imprint. It could be helping out those who need help, treating others kindly, developing friendships among nations, using less energy, etc. These are practical things one can do.
It certainly helps to believe there is a greater purpose. I am not fortunate to know what that greater purpose is for me. A friend of mine once told me that it is good to give a hand and lift someone gently when they need that gentle lift the most. The trick is to do so without letting them even know that you have helped them.
yes v r significant.. This becomes clear from the Qur'an where Allah says that He created Adam on this earth as His representative. A representative follows orders. Only one who can execute the orders properly can be a true representative or vicegerent, otherwise there would be effors. Thus, according to the Prophet, assuming the responsibilities of a worthy representative requires the acqisition of the conduct of the master. This, then is what is meant by "God created Man in His image."
