I wanna start wearing salwar kameez, and my mom has some nice ones, but she has mostly half-suits… some of em are missing duputtas or didnt come with it, or some don’t have salwars

Since the invention of such clothes, the very main reason of dupatta initially in Sub continent was to fulfill the purpose of Hijab.
As the time passed by, it has more become a symbol of fashion.
Dupatta is something on which not long ago, Sultan Rahi implemented a culture via punjabi movies. He explained that it was a synonym to Ghairat. One famous dialogue by him was: Oyeeeee:mad: meri phenR daa duppattaa waapis day day oyeeeeeeeee

ur right. but dupatta…I would never wear it on my head like most pakistani girls do…if its just girls around then id wear it in neck…otherwise if its a nice one…like a 2tone one I recently got…Id wear it in such a way that it looks like a hijab…and I even get compliments from ppl saying “nice hijab…where did u get it from?”

I used to wear duputtas as a hijab, wit jeans and a kurta/sweater/blouse… it was VERY difficult, too much slippage and wrinkles on it … but i liked my pink hijab/duputta

mine is half pink half purple…but if I fold it exactly from the middle…the 2 colors mix and hence it becomes 2 toned
it looks really good then. after its folded. if I dont fold it then its too thin.
