I mean we use this idiom (Muhawra), when someone gets surprised. But what is the origin of these words Hakka Bakka?

But what I found it another case of historical character assassination.
Re: What is the meaning of
Muhammad bin Tuglaq, Pagal Badshah, converted two telgus Hariahar and Bukka to Islam, they came to south and established a Hindu empire called Kingdom of Vijaynagar:), Hence Pagal Badshah, was amazed and replaced the word amazement by Hukka Bukka:D

Did you get help of champion?
Re: What is the meaning of
Yesterday, while Delhi was playing against mumbai in Ferozshah Kotla, suddenly Bada Pandit (hubby) asked about if Ferozshah was Pagal Badhshah, the champion started explaining about him and his policies, she tells in the form of story:), she concluded that Pagal Badshah was actually unlucky but people termed him Pagal:(. He was the one who converted hariahar and bukka to Islam and sent him to Andhra:)
I concluded, that those people who have maligned him were definitely Pandits, hence it is Pandit conspiracy:D
Everyone laughed at this:D and she instructed me not to use my JAT brain:(
Re: What is the meaning of
Is it confirmed that Hakka Bakka were converted to Islam, because I read that they found Vijaynagar in 14th Century and patronised many temples like Keshava temple, Narashima temple, Vidayshankra temple and Ramappa temples.
When you say a king patronised a temple, what does this mean? Is it just limited to providing finances?
Re: What is the meaning of
It means kings providing finances, providing all necessary things required complete support of construction, maintainence and overseeing the arrangement during festive times etc.
This dynasty gave greatest Telgu king similar to Akbar, KrishnadevaRaya who was great scholar of Telgu and Kannada. And his story with Pandit TenaliRama is as famous in south like AKbar-Birbal in north:).
This empire was defeated in Battle of Talikota by Bahmani Kingdom:)

hukka and bukka were kannadigas not telugu, same goes for sri krishnadevaraya who was a tuluva (aishwaraya rai is also a tulu, most of the tulu girls are pretty :p)
during krishnadevaraya time it was the golden era for telugu people.from art, literature everything flourished..
and yea we have many telugu folk tales on tenali ramakrishna ,actually there were 8 poets, tenali ramakrishna was famous for his humor
Re: What is the meaning of
LOL i thought Krishndevraya was telugu not tulu, I know tulus they are from mangalore region (most beautiful are tamiian iyengars though). There were Ashtdiggajas, telugu has highest sanskrit content anyway.
Tenali was also known for his spontaneity in composition of poetry as well. Our NCERT books had story in both hindi and english subject.
