Your frustration is certainly evident from your response, and given the recent chain of events between our nations, one could certainly understand this hostility. With that said, let’s not forget that both nations have lost many brave soldiers in this common war, and no two other nations could understand each other’s sacrifices better. The common mission has held us together and will lead us to the finish line. The US fully appreciates all of Pakistan’s efforts in this WOT and knows that Pakistan continues to pay the highest price. Please understand that despite any disagreements, the enemies have always viewed us as a common threat preventing them from achieving their evil objectives in the region. Terrorist organizations like the Haqqani network have openly vowed their allegiance to the Taliban, and cross border attacks have resulted in troops dying on both sides of the border. The seriousness of the situation requires us to bury the hatchet, and for that reason our governments continue to place the importance of our partnership above everything else. Let the past be the past, and let’s focus on the common goal of clearing the region from terrorism.
