What is the Islamic punishment for Celebrating Basant?

Whether you call it caste or something else it's still the same thing. Discrimination based purely on birth. To defend discrimination by giving it a different name is worse hypocricy than castes themselves.

BTW why the heck are you guys discussing this in a thread about Islam and Basant?

What moronic law will want to punish somebody for celebrating some festival?

I have lived in Pakistan for 19 years and never heard of a caste system. Therefore all the Indians=Idiots.

u must be joking.. castes are really strong in Pakistan.. but unlike India they are not for degrading humans with grades of birth .. unfortunately our elections are run according to castes.. In Punjab dominate castes are Rajputs, jats, Arians, Sheikhs, Gujars etc.

plus as I wrote earliar in thread Basant is celebrated with fervour and vigor in Lahore and we love it as a seasonal event..

pakistan has less dalits than india not because dalits were integrated
and disappeared in pakistan. dalits were in india during mughal period
and never been recruitted in goverment or in the army .

The Muslims in India were
influenced by Hindu caste system and socially divided themselves as
"Ashrafs" (noble and rich families) and "Ajlaf" (others). This was
during early Sultanate and Mughal period. These class distinctions
were mainly based on money and on foriegn ancestory. These barriers
have now disappeared since old Muslim noble families became poor after
British take over and later lost all their wealth. Syeds claimed as
progeny of Prophet Muhammad. Sheikhs claim Arab ancestry. Mughal claim
to be Turks and Khan as Afghans.

But wasn't Basanti the V12 twin turbo horse and cart in the film Sholay?

Maybe Amitabh, Dharmendra, Amhad and Hema Malini should give the answer to celeberating Basanti and it's respective punishment!

Chal Basanti Chal. Aaj Humree Ijjut Ka Sawal Hai.
