What is the importance of saying..

I love you in a relationship?

Can’t you just show it?

Would it affect your marriage/relationship if your spouse doesn’t say these words to you?

Re: What is the importance of saying..

I think its more important that what is said is also meant i.e shown thru actions.

But some people need to hear these words to feel the love lol so why not?

:)

Re: What is the importance of saying..

saves many a fights & arguments. puts a smile on spouse's face.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

yes i totally fight with my hubby if he doesnt tell me he loves me.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

Its not necessary to say these words all the time. I think gesture is more important than words. If someone calls me "I love you" but he doesn't call me .... doesn't have time for me then it would be very frustrating for me.

For me words are not mandatory in relationships.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

Ok, for me, words are mandatory in a relationship. This is what they are made for. But I would be pissed off big time if they remain to be only words.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

wait, are you married rolla? :konfused:

.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

Actions speak louder than words but I do not mind a good combination of both ;)

Re: What is the importance of saying..

I think some guys just don't know how to express their feelings in words...or just feel to unmasculine when doing so.
So they prefer to show it with actions....

But yea like Ashy said...it would be nice to have a good combo of both!!
And really....there's no need to over say it....just at the special moments its always nice to hear!

Tip for all you guys....if you really wanna show your girly that you love her...and you don't wanna say it....then just buy her diamonds...and all will be forgiven :P

Re: What is the importance of saying..

of course NOT but its nice to hear someone say it...it would be like adding salt to your food...without salt, u'll still eat it but it won't be as tasty as you would like it to be :)...aise hii hogaa jaise k jism baGhair rooH ke :)

Re: What is the importance of saying..

Actions speak louder than words...but sometimes one might think that the action was done more from a sense of obligation....so it's nice to hear "I love you" as well, to know that there are deeper sentiments behind the actions.

It's when there's a contradiction between the words and actions that there's a problem.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

idd say it important .. but then u can express it n nott say it at the same tym .. n it shudnt effect the realaton .. frm my point ov view ..

Re: What is the importance of saying..

oh it's so very important.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

yes, I need to hear it! Though I do think that sometimes people cough*husbands*cough think that by saying "love you" they can fix any situation. Which can sometimes be so annoying.

I'm curious, do people living in Pakistan (or people who don't speak english with their spouce) do they also say "I love you" to one another?? I can't imagin my relatives who live in Pakistan to say that to one another.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

Yes, action is more important than words.

Saying ILY is easy, proving that by action is what matters.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

SO does saying ILY correlate to wifey doing more work for you?

Re: What is the importance of saying..

I needs to see it and I needs to hear it.

Re: What is the importance of saying..

I think expressing it is important.... And sometimes there is no need of saying itbecause u expressed it in another wayy.... But if Inever ever heard it then I would b worried

Re: What is the importance of saying..

If saying "I love you" was this importnat, tu sareey loog jo english nahi boltey divorced hotey :)
