What is the future of a PhD Degree?

Specially in Pakistan? does it only lead to better options in the educational sector?

Re: What is the future of a PhD Degree?

Most of phd people I know (closely)are on very good jobs.
One of them is AP in NUST.
one suggestion, if you wanna go in education sector try private, semi private universities first.
1. Good package
2. Less politics and leg pulling

That's my 2 cents.

Re: What is the future of a PhD Degree?

having just returned from Pakistan after a visiting faculty appointment, I can say that there's ample need for qualified researchers in all disciplines. There is a dearth of empirical research in general, and many universities are interested in hiring foreign qualified professors who can advance their profiles as research institutions.
