What is the fate of such a person?

Suppose, someone does you harm/hurt you really bad,and you hold so much grudges about it that, you just do not forgive him/her.Then, does Allah forgive such a person for the hurt they have caused you since you do not forgive them?

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

My knowledge about religion is not very good but according to my weak knowledge if someone has harmed you then only you can forgive that person Allah will not forgive . Trust that if not in this world then the person who has harmed you will pay on the day of judgement.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

no ...only the wronged person can forgive in this case Allah does not forgive unless the person asks Allah for forgiveness for hurting you...then maybe he/she can be forgiven but im not sure

in any case though it is truly better for the victim to forgive the perpetrator

holding grudges is bad for the health of ur soul

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

The Quran makes it clear that, whenever possible, it is better to forgive another than to attack another. The Quran describes the believers (Muslims) as those who, avoid gross sins and vice, and when angered they forgive. (Quran 42:37) and says that Although the just requital for an injustice is an equivalent retribution, those who pardon and maintain righteousness are rewarded by Allah SWT. He does not love the unjust. (Quran 42:40).

The forgiveness desired by Islam is that we forgive when we have the power to take revenge.

Apologies, if the above was not the kind of response/advice you looked for.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

My knowledge of Islam is limited, but I've read that while Allah SWT mein forgive you for not fulfilling HIS rights, he will not forgive you for violating the rights of other people (unless the person in question themselves forgives you)

THIS

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

If we wish to be forgiven by Him, then we should be forgiving to each other ...
If we are not forgiven by anyone before they die, then the equivalent of our good deeds will be taken from us and given to those whose rights we took away ... this is not forgiveness this is payment ...

There will be some people on the Day of Judgement who are bankrupt ... this means that in this world they earned many good deeds, but didn't have good conduct and on that Day they will start off with lots in their right hands but slowly those deeds will be reallocated to others until they become bankrupt ...

Perhaps one of the greatest stories of forgiveness by Allah (SWT) will be over that individual who gives up his only good deed to the person who only needed one more good deed to enter Jannah ... A single good deed will be so precious on that Day that the act of giving this away will be very charitable ... Allah (SWT) will take claim to be Most Charitable and send them both to Jannah.

So in short the fate of a person is not determined by people taking the rights of others away ... rather his good deeds will be used to pay off the injustices ... If a person is left with debts then they will be sent to Hellfire ... Having good deeds may protect us from Hellfire, but they will not earn us paradise ... Paradise is from Allah (SWT)'s Mercy.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

**to forgive is devine...Allah encourages humans to take the higher ground and forgive but if u do NOT forgive then you are NOT sinning. it's your right to forgive or NOT to forgive....however, forgiving is BETTER for you both in this world and in the hereafter.

when any sin that involves another human, Allah does NOT forgive unless and until the sinner asks forgiveness from the person he/she has erred. on the day of judgement the sinner's nekis [good deeds] will be taken away and awarded to the victim, iA.

isii liye, Allah se Darte huye aur uskii razaa ke liey insaan ko chaahiye k vo kisii duusre insaan kii kotaahiyoN aur chhoTe chhoTe Huqooq kii paamaalii pe mo'aaf kare.**

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

Take their fate into your own hands. Maar dalo ussay.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

Allah can/may forgive those matter which directly related to him.

but mamlat (your conduct and behavior with other) are in your hand.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

I heard (and I might be wrong) that on the day of judgment, culrpit was put in front of the victim. If victim does not forgive the cuplrit then victim will be compensated by given equivalent nakiyaan from the culrpits account.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

i heard too.

Re: What is the fate of such a person?

I've also heard that on the Day of Judgement Allah will try to bargain with the victim in order to get him/her to forvie the offender. Like offer the victim things in exchange for forgiveness.
