How one is bad and the other is good ? What can be right Urdu mutaradif ( right substitute) for recommendation and what would be right substitute for sifarish in English ?

they are two different words as well two same words.

*sifarish *- kisi ko tarraqi dena kisi aur ba asar insaan ke kehne pe (bacha skool main fail ho jata hai per choonkey bachay ke waldain principle ke rishtedaar hain tou bache ko agli jamaat ke liye paas ker dete hain)

I know that baba-urdu key/kay bhateeji/bhateejay , :silly: I want to know Urdu word for recommendation which has a positive connotation and I need English word for sifarish which has negative connotation.

The negative connotation of sifarish is similar to favoritism or cronyism... although in Urdu, I think sifarish can be used positively and negatively. I think...

Sifarish used to be a positive term ... but now

Sifarish: If you dont deserve it per qualification but requested to be considered.

Recommendation: You are qualified for the job and requested to be considered.
