Read the Quran and Sunnah to find out whats allowed and whats forbidden, whats Halal and whats Haraam. Pray 5 times a day and, InshaAllah, Allah will make you stay away from Gunnah. Through, prayers(the 5 tennents of Islam) you will automatically be taken away from gunnah. Be genuine in your efforts to stay away from Gunnah and Insha-Allah Allah(SWT) will help you - Ameen.
