Who are these “people” that have given up on hair removal creams b/c it “encourages growth”? Is there a study that you’re referring to? Considering that fact that hair removal cream is a billion dollar industry, it’s difficult for me to believe that I’m the only woman in this world getting positive results from creams like Nair without experiencing this “side effect” (ie. the creams encouraging hair growth).
I’m a firm believer in educating myself with facts rather than going by myths. I don’t doubt the sincerety of those that claim this side effect exists. However, I’m wondering about the SOURCE of this claim. Besides, If a certain chemical in creams like Nair actually did this as you ladies claim…then I’m sure companies by now would be advertising a version of it to women for that reason (ie. isn’t that how Latisse got started…b/c it was a untended side effect of glaucoma eye drops).
That being said…can anyone here provide ANY links to any credible source that actually states that hair removal creams encourages hair growth OR causes hair to grow thicker? I have not been able to find anything online on my own and I’d be very interested to see some facts regarding this. I see several of you stating this “side effect”…but can you actually provide a credible source to back up your claim? I’m not talking about some statement or review by a random person online whose background we’re not sure about. I’m talking about an actual study, or dermatologis’s article, or an explanation of the chemical ingredients etc…things that actually prove this claim using FACTS.
