The life u build with ur spouse, the struggles you both go through just to “settle” down…its frustrating and its hard, but once u actuallY DO settle down or whatever, that life u build together is so much sweeter than, say, going into a ready-made home..

You have no idea how much this post helped me (somehow). I’m getting married soon and right now my husband is still studying but we’ve made the decision to marry and live together. His parents have asked us not to live together yet, they have even offered me to stay with them while he studies (he’s currently in a different country and will be for the next 3 years). We don’t want to be apart because of all the difficulties and emotional drama that comes with “long-distance”. Regardless, I am so scared to be married and off into an another country where I know no-one. I don’t know where or how we’ll start our home, but we don’t say anything because if we do, our families will be quick to ask me to stay back. anyways, this post just got me all emotional and teary, one of the yucky things about being a girl!
