hello. what’s the best, one that gives best rates for us dollars to pakistan? western union usually gives one more rupee per dollar but there are some steep fees involved…

it is definitely fastest but if somebody wants to cheat you for goods you have no recourse…

are bank transfers better?

please help.

if you go through Western Union phone or web service, the fee is there, but if you go to on of their physical location (almost all big supermarkets and many pharmacies like Rite Aid has that service), fee is very very low. I think its about 17 dollars for up to every 1000 dollars sent.

UBL clik n remit charges 5 dollars for a transfer of less than 300 dollars, transfers over 300 dollars cost nothing I never compared rates . I find it the safest and fastest way. The money is in the account within 3 days. I have been using it for many years.

**here in Canada, we can open an account with State Bank of India or any Indian Bank and then electronically transfer from my account in Canada to my account in India. it's fast, efficient, easier and we get the best rates...[international exchange rates that the credit card companies use].

there is one Pakistani Bank in Toronto. i'm sure there will be one near you if you live in or near a major city in north america. call them and find out.**
