many many more, romance is when a person shows his/her love for their partner, which could be done in any way as you see.

I think its just like any relationship. Flowers and small gifts help definitely sometimes, but what's really important is consistent nice, patient and caring behavior with the other person and the ability to let go of small things that have potential to cause fights, that's what's really important imho. I've seen both cases but I think for a proper family life a person who is reasonable and nice all the time but doesn't do anything special at occasions is better than someone who fights and is angry half the time and then super nice the other half....Just my two cents :)
