Yeah, I know the CV thing is a bit weird but pretty much all the families we know insist on it, even when my brother told my parents about the girl he’d met himself and wanted to marry my mum said nothing further was going to happen until she’d seen her CV lol.. the photo thing I do agree with tho..

Are they like…you know…academic CVs that are used for employment and stuff, or are they tailor made marital CVs that contain stuff like “i can cook” or “i can do the laundry;colours, delicates and whites”? 
Exactly thats what I am thinking too 
so, what goes on these CVs? for example, do people put down all the programming languages they know, etc? that they're team players, quick learners, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, etc?

It's just like a standard academic CV with which schools they went to, how they did in their GCSEs and A-levels, which uni they went to, what they studied etc. plus a little bit about their family, how many brothers or sisters they have, what their parents do, maybe a little bit on what they do in their spare time etc.. I guess it's a bragging instrument more than anything else tho..
Oh and apart from all of that there are usually photos attached as well which tends to be the only thing the sons/daughters want to see..
(I never took part in all this stuff, it was all a bit cold and clinical for me, I just wanted to fall in love, my mum used to say 'are u going to get someone off the streets' :D )

wow CVs? and for girls?! I know my dad wanted to see my BIL's CV but that was for academic purposes. I think if someone asked, I would just print out a copy of my resume' like a retard..

Woman CV must include:
1- Cook all kind of food. No, I do not believe in shan masala.
2- Enthusiastic to make my husband happy with all the needs even at 2:00 AM.
3- I feel very energetic. Vacccuming, cooking, cleaning and laundry for the whole family does not bother me.
4- Love to make MIL, SIL my good friends. I feel any wife should respect FIL and stay away or respect BIL or cousin in law like her own brother and if caught with him, just accept the fault without arguing.

5- Will rub his feet whenever he comes home from work and have hot dinner ready.
6- I deeply feel husbands are like crown over head...(our Sartaj). Reference: My mother.

8- Skilled in sewing, using sewing machine and many kithcn appliances. Never broke any appliance and got a certificate which can be provided if requested.
9- Flexible in providing services to husband on demand.
10- Always left my brother alone when he is on the phone with a girl.
11- Winner of dessert maker in 'one dish party'. Can't describe how good I felt when I saw people drooling to take the left over home what I brought. (References are available on demand)
12- My figure is smaller and more attractive than the bottle of "Coca Cola".
13- I am very satisfied woman and I do not believe in spending husband money on anything unless he approves.

Haven’t you guys heard of a biodata? 
Yeah I’ve never heard about this before until my Bengali friend told me that that’s how her family and every Bengali she knows conduct the Rishta process. A CV and a few pictures are sent initially and if there’s any interest the families meet. Makes it all sound like a job interview imo.
OP, surely a simple “they’re not interested” would suffice?
