lmao you are just describing two extremes: one side of utter disrespect and at the other spectrum almost putting your husband on a pedestal.
respect goes out universally. i am sure you would be upset if he didn't respect you, it would make you respect him less. swearing at your partner, or calling them rudely is a big no-no personally, but some couples are happy to swear at each other in a joking way. each their own i guess.
