Pakistan has the POTENTIAL for greatness. As Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said in Lahore while visiting Badshahi Masjid, Pakistan may hold the key for the liberation of the entire Muslim. I foirmly believe this. Pakistan and the Muslims of Indiahave been responsible, in a major part, for the resurgence of Islam and the revolutionary Islamic thought we see today. Maulana Maududi is a giant among all the scholars that have ever lived, and he directly influenced such prominient leaders such as Hassan al Banna and Sayyid Qutb.
Pakistan's moral degeneracy and lack of progress is the firect result of the lack of islamic consciousness among the people. Until the peopel of Pakistan embrace Islam with their hearts and mind, Pakistan will be the prey of all its neighbors and of foreign governments such as the US and the UK. Unless khalifah is established in Pakistan, it will never prosper as a society. The manority ofpeople in Pakistan are religious and support Khalifah, but thsoe in power dislike Islam and whcih to limit Islamic resurgence in Pakistan. Pakistan will be one of the centers of Islamic renaissance in the coming years.
With all due respect to you and Maududi Sahab, Maududi was in fact a hypocrit. He and his people opposed creation of Pakistan. Then they turned around (which is OK and good gesture by many people) and tried to control the country on religious front when a country was to be borne anyway without their support. They just were politicians and nothing but politicians with no integrity.
As I pointed out earlier, there is no Pakistanism and perhaps we do not need to be hung up on what Pakistanism is but then what we see is still majority of people who have no idea where the country should go on what ideology and there is a serious lack of or vacuum in terms of what should be the country's direction.
OK...no direction east or west..but at least have one direction. That is, the welfare and safety of Pakistani people. Is that we see at all in the country?
Unfortunately, no.
Elites spend money onuseless things. Hundreds of people go out of country in a plane and beg for money from another country.
These elites do not even keep the money in the country let alone spend it in the country.
General public is culturally, morally and mentally slave of outsiders even to a neighbor country. Movies, songs and shows are inspired by the Pakistani media which is from another country. Even the language is being hijacked by outsiders.
Shops are full of DVD players, cellphones and all sort of electronic equipmets but rice, flour and meat price is skyrocketing. Cars are being ought by people who have barely some money to put petrol in the car every week.
When we say word 'president' it means US president, when we say 'Prime minister', its british prime minister. Isn't it? Come on Pakistani are more slaves compared to many others and theoretically speaking had freedom in 1947 at the cost of millions of lives. Our army is bikao maal, or kirare ke tatto and they fight for others but are reluctant to defend its citizens.
Can we not say in reality that Pakistan is slowly being highjacked.....parts by parts?
The point is that there is chaos and nothing but chaos.
And religious people just tell people to pray five times and somehow expect good. All their ills will be cured without using their brain and skills.
Speaking of arabs, including any other nations, they will not respect Pakistan until Pakistan and its people wake up and besides living in harmony with everyone in the world (and recognizing friends and foe ) focus on the well being of a common, honest, and hard working citizen. (the number of which is declining despite still being the majority)
