or next to nothing?
symbolism of hidden and not hidden clues to doing all that one can, in the sole dedicated pursuit to find out the reality of things…
when death takes over, a life in regards with that life’s short-lived but intensely ferocious, fiesty, and fiersome courage of turning inside out, and upside down, to find out the truth of things?

some thoughts in response to your query: the idea is that if civilizations and mythologies, philosophies and theologies are from world over and today, as Muslim men and women, we are influences by the thoughts of these civilizations and their philosophers. then, as a philosophy minded person, one needs to reflect on...what difference does it make, that they are not from among Alchemy, Gibran, and the likes.
ideally, when humanity indulges in this great expedition of philosophical conjectures and begin to solidify the braid of common thoughts and common concerns of philosophical nature... in the multi-cultural context, then, the only thing that philosophy will focus on is universal application of rules, premises, and conclusions drawn thereby... so on and so forth.
truth ought to have enough power to attract anyone receptive.
the characteristic of philosophy is that it is not lop-sided. it is logical and thus it attempts to rule out all biases and loop holes.
any thoughts?

Nice, I just want to add that one should not be so unequivocal in labeling philosophy as an intellectual effort to seek the truth alone. It is a way to logicalize your rationale even if it is biased. Truth certainly has the power to attract accordant receptive.
Intelliphant, i certainly did not put the : p smileys in there above.
besides that, you are right.
philosophy is intellectual for the sake of cognizance and once that cognizance is permitted, it will be easier to follow the logical direction of rationality.
