For me exfoliating regularly, drinking plenty of water, and eating fruits and veggies work. BUT if I get lazy FOR EVEN A DAY, my skin is quick to punish me. And whats even more annoying than acne are the scars that they leave behind.

Guess it all boils down to genetics. I fell on the good side of the gene pool, blessed with light eyes, a dimple, clear skin …So much that a chic once asked if I wear make up

No...both my brothers have pleanty of sore pimples.... That just leave scars and stuff... And they start to look like orangutans in sun...
Waise... Never use anything...but besan ,haldi and little bit of milk once in a while does the trick...

Not saying ALL guys have clear skin, but you know, compared to girls fewer guys have skin problems.

Yeah.....WO toh kher shi hai... Girls be having dry skin...chapped irritated sunburnt...oily...sensitive..prob that can be found in guys is pimples...haan...
For me, it has been chemical exfoliant that has worked wonders.

To be honest my skin is a bit hit and miss! When I was 16, I did a course of roaccutane after which time I had flawless, baby like skin for 7 years straight. But lo and behold, after 7 years the light breakouts began again so now I am taking course 2 (on a much lower dose). Can't wait to finish this time around because I love the results roaccutane gives and I don't think any amount of exfoliating, cleansing etc can achieve that (I have used countless products trying).

hmm. never really though about it. I don't go a day without moisturizer and keep my skin exfoliated. That's about it for holy grail, i guess.

Roaccutane is a oral drug which can only be prescribed by a dermatologist. It requires monitoring (monthly blood tests) and some people get other bad side effects (hair loss, dry skin, nose bleeds etc) but Allhamdullilah I have been really lucky and haven't experienced these. For me it is the only thing that I know will eliminate acne for a few years (or hopefully forever!).

Thank you! Hmm there was a time for a couple of months when I thought my diet may be the culprit but I cut out all soft drinks and significantly reduced sugar intake and loaded up on water but...didn't make a difference at all. I think in my case it may just be adult acne (although it is just a few spots really) maybe associated with hormones or stress.
But the last time I took roaccutane...following that...I ate everything and anything ...and had no breakouts at all. For 7 years. So I am convinced that in my case diet doesn't impact the condition of my skin. I know for a lot of people it does though.

ohh i see. in 2011, i hv taken med frm determetlogist for 5 months for acne. and my acne didnt come for 4 years. nw after 2 babies, i am facing acne bt acne face wash help a lot to keep it away.And sebum in skin cause oily skin and making skin dark. no cream , sunblock work for me. even no foundation work. as i am feedng baby so doc is nt giving med .
any remedy.
