Re: what is "muta"...???

Muta'a is temporary marriage that is allowed by the different shi'a groups. In Pakistan the vast majority of shi'as are ithna 'ashri or ja'fari. They also allow muta'a.

It was allowed in the early days of Islam, but was then forbidden.

I like it, I like it.

Re: what is “muta”…???

what do you mean shia cultural thing? maybe u shouldnt speak about a topic when you don’t know much about it

anyways according to shias…this was allowed in the time of Prophet Mohummad (pbuh&up) and even during the time of first khalifa…it was 2nd khalifa who disallowed it…anyways you can read shia point of you here http://al-islam.org/encyclopedia/chapter6a/1.html

its been discussed here many times already so i dont have time for it…i just dont think its right to say its a “shia cultural thing”

Re: what is “muta”…???

maybe u should keep your trap shut for once and stop reading everything online and look at it from a cultural perspective.

it WAS a cultural thing. thats why it is not practiced anymore.

Re: what is "muta"...???

i don't consider myself to be an expert on religious matter thats why i follow Ayutullah Sistani...its foolish to pass ignorant personal opinions on religous matters i believe

following is from the Ayutullah Sistani's website

§ Question : What is Mut'ah ? How do the Quran and Hadith support it?

§ Answer : Mut'ah has been mentioned in the verse 24 of the Qur’an. No body doubts it was halal (lawful) at the time of the holy prophet(s); it was lawful at the time of Abu-Bakr and a part time of 'Umar. Then the latter forbade it. Later, some narrators fabricated hadith supporting his conduct that contradicted the holy prophet(s).
