Everyone is interconnected. If the family cannot accept the guy/girl, there will be heartache later down the road. It's never just 1 decision, 1 or the other. In the end, many people are affected, and it's never without an amount of pain. Best thing, if possible, is for family and spouse to come to mutual affection.
