Is it nice to live there?
What are the people like?

I live in Toronto but yeah Markham is an alright town

Lots of Chinese and Indian people there.

IMO its a boring town

You're better off in Mississauga. Markham is far away from everything.

a LOT of Asians in Markham. Beware when you drive. Also quite a few desis that trickled up north from Scarborough.

Otherwise, its like any other place in the GTA..with a No Frills, a Walmart, a mall, movie theatre and schools.

why you think of canada you think of polar bears, but i just google markham ontario and surprisingly its quite close to new york. so i guess it cant be all ice and donkey carts.

All I know about Markham is that they have the huge MAC/Estee Lauder/ Bobbi Brown warehouse sale there. You can get stuff upto 70% off there. I’d move there for that sole reason :hinna:

no, if you want to live in toronto or in gta area..i personally wouldnt choose markham.. north york, mississauga, or vaughan/maple are nice places.

I don't know about Markham...but North York is very nice...I lived there before.

Markham is not a bad area, a lot of chinese, there is the pacific mall... if your working in say IBM. Its a good place, but overall I would also have to vote for Mississauga. But this is a preference, I have friends living in Markham, who don't like Mississauga. Regardless, Its just a suburban area, crime rate in relatively low.
