Could anyone quote the latest population of Karachi from a credible source? I would really appreciate it.

So far i know its approx 10 million.

Yup its more than that. The census has never worked. None of the districts in the south have been properly documented.
Karachi is the city of lights - but it would also be nice if we could be known as a city with an accurately documented population - like Islamabad for instance.
When I was last out there estimates ranged anywhere from 7 to 14 million go figure. But according to extrapolated statistics it will be the 7th most populous city in the world by 2020.
Keep your hate monger agendas out of this forums

I suggest if you hate sindhis and would like to take a crack at sindh.
Do it some other place.

united nations population fund website.. list karachi’s population as 11.8 million in 2000.
So far i know its approx 10 million.
According to unoffcial and non-governmental organizations it is between 20-25 millions.
