I’d love to see the bedrooms of a load of guppies here. Not cuz my prying eyes are being pervy but rather for the decor. Ok chalo lets make it lounge…nah not lounge, because lounge could be mums choice but bedroom is always the inhabitants choice right. I can’t live without colour. My friend recently done hers up in cream. Cream walls, cream flooring, cream covers, cream curtains and a chocolate throwover n two cushions to break it up ( she tried anyway ). Though i love the look so much cream is so bland for me it gets to me. Being in a cream environment is so hard. I’m currently building on my multi coloured cushion collection on top of the bedspread. Ideally i’m wanting maroon bedspread with multicoloured cushions, turqiose voiles and green ( the gorgeus version ) drapes. Forget colour i can’t live in a ‘nothing there except the bed, room’.I tried minimalism once. And ended up going barmy…and soon enough i had pics stuck around the edge of the mirror, teddies lining the window sill, ‘forever friends’ things dangling wherever i could find a nail, dresser is full of stuff…and then it feels too cluttery and i end up stripping it all down but soon enough it all has to come out again
Anyways, colourful people or not what do you girls do with your earrings? I wanna know. The earrings stands are tiny. Three pairs and they fall over due to imbalance. Sigh. Brit guppans, you know where i can get any decent sized earring stands? Other guppans, share your ideas or ‘what you do’s’ .
Something I remember doing from my student days is sticking my earrings onto a cork notice board (cover it in fabric or felt first if you like). You can get lots of pairs of earrings onto one notice board and they are easily accessible.
I'll post a pic of my bedroom when I tidy it up tomorrow morning. It's covered in shoe boxes and food magazines right now.
LOL, no, sometimes, it is not of the inhabitant's choice. still my b/r is flooded with my luggage of the old apartment i was living in before. last time my mom came, she tried to arrange it a bit to make more space. now, it has some space to accomodate atleast one more person other than me, LOL.
regarding decor, id love to paint my b/r pink and blue or crimson, maroon. a brilliant color scheme. but not this room. whenever i find a house my choice.
at the moment, i have 2 almost white walls (one with a window), and another which is a feature wall… which is a deep warm toffee colour.. (one wall is my cupbaord.. yeap a very very BIG cupboard )… against my feature wall i have a very very dark chocolate coloured bed.. with two chocolate coloured (almost black) side tables.. my bed has deep maroon coloured silky sheets on it (they have sequence on the foot).. oh and the bed and sides have a bit of chrome on them..
the floor is carpeted.. like the colour of light chai.. and yeap.. it’s a pretty clean room in comparison to how i had it in the old place.. im not allowed to keep my room dirty
I dont like too much colour in the bedroom. I actually like the idea of cream walls and carpets, but I would have added some maroon or some other bright colour to break it up.
my bedroom has white walls and wooden furniture.. its a set, then I have light blue curtains, not so happy with the curtains, will be getting some fancy ones from pakistan (here they are way too expensive!) bedspread, I have many cotton ones for normal use, then I have a fancy silk cushioned doublesided with different light matching colours for formal gatherings.
pitch black.. and then 2 ppl basically took control in their hands and now its just simply off white .. not that i really care about colors.. as long as the monitor is bright enough to work on .. i can live with everything else :)
Here are some pictures of my cousins bedroom which I painted for her 2 weeks ago. She is a 17 year old high school student who really likes colours, so we went with really vibrant bright colours. One wall is boxes in different sizes, the opposing wall is stripes in different widths and the other two walls are pink and purple. Too much HGTV for me!!! I tried to make it a 'girly' room! I hope you guys like it!

My bedroom has been pretty much the same for 8 years; blue walls and carpet, silver wood, neon lights and car-motorbike posters on the walls, FC bedding, The Gadget Shop clutter everywhere...
I'm 18 for fcuk sake, time I went for a more mature look, thought about all white it would feel fresh and breathable but look too cold for a bedroom. Something a bit more warm like creams and chocolates.. or I might just do a wodden cabin effect interior, laminate flooring and walls, wooden ceiling, pine furniture, plain white bedding and blind...
My walls look pretty white, but it's some other colour (that my sister knows about) and the carpet is peachish. Nonetheless, I always have bright coloured beadspreads and there are other things that liven up my room.
I'm more into plain off-white type of colours for the walls than having coloured walls. I feel bright coloured (esp. dark colours) walls given the room a congested look.
I have sky blue colour scheme in my bedroom with blue carpet n bed sheet n alot of cussions painting personal pics n alot of candles..pics u can see in my journal at page 7-8 :)
