Re: What is Hijr e Aswad?
Peace khoji
Well we believe Sayyiduna Adam (AS) came from Jannah don’t we? … and whether the rock came from Jannah or is a meteorite … It is still unique … To me it is precious as precious stones are precious … It is a marwan … Many of these are mentioned in the Old Testament … They were used to establish temples … We can call them altar stones or pillars … It has no other value except that RasoolAllah (SAW) showed it to be used as part of our rites and rituals … And kissing it is Sunnah … This does not even mean it is respected … It is simply a device that takes and absorbs our sins … Just as when we do sujud the ground is not special that we touch it with our foreheads.
It could be both a meteorite and from Jannah … We believe Isa (AS) is in Jannah … And there are at least 7 layers of Jannah … So let’s park that question I’m sure we will find out on the Day of Judgment.
