We all well aware about the ‘arrivals of Imam Mahdi’ as well as about those peoples who were claimed that they are ‘Mahdi’. Lets read the below hadith and try to understand it.
**Book ‘The Book Pertaining to the Turmoil and Portents of the Last Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan wa Ashrat As-Sa`ah)’ of Sahih Muslim. Hadith No. 6961.
**Abu Nadra reported: "We were in the company of Jabir b. 'Abdulldh that he said it may happen that the people of Iraq may not send their qafiz and dirhams (their measures of food stuff and their money). We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said: The non_Arabs would prevent them. He again said: There is the possibility that the people of Syria may not send their dinar and mudd. We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said This prevention would be made by the Romans. He (Jabir b. Abdullab) kept quiet for a while and then reported that Allah’s Messenger 
said: "There would be a caliph in the last (period) of my Ummah who would freely give handfuls of wealth to thd people wiothout counting it". I said to Abu Nadra and Abu al-'Ala: Do you mean 'Umar b. 'Abd al-Aziz? They said: No (he would be Imam Mahdi.).
Iraq and Syria gone (destroyed) 
so who invaded Iraq & Syria? I think every know the answer but who are ‘The Romans’?
If we go through history than these romans created there own god and goddess for example Jupiter, Juno, Neptune, Pluto, Apollo, Diana, Mars, Venus, Cupid, Minerva, ceres, roserpine, Vulcan, Bacchus, Saturn, Vesta, Janus, Uranus, and Gaia. More others are Maia. Flora. Pltuts. Cerberus, Gorgon etc., etc., I think all the distortion in religion started by these romans. Hence, that wasn’t the point of this thread.
If we see in the religion of ‘Islam’ than the sects within ‘Islam’ are trying to take lead on each other about ‘Imam Mahdi’ that he will be amongs their’s sect and the followers of these sects without realizling whats going on with them, in other words followers are kept fighting with each others on each and every single differences so that they won’t realize the actual point.
