Re: what is "Error Rate requirements"
do i have to write some kinda warranty guidline alond with potential incase misuse kind of stuff?
Re: what is "Error Rate requirements"
Is this for your homework?
Re: what is “Error Rate requirements”
nope this is for my understanding ![]()
for project (home work buchay kertay hain
) i have to write requirements (not the definitions-understanding dat i am asking for)
abb yeh he samjh nahi aeya ga to requirements kia khak likhoon gee. ![]()
Re: what is "Error Rate requirements"
Error rate requirement in enginnering is the rate of failure of the product to perform
How many products in a sample fails to perform. 1 in 100, 1 in 500. Lower the rate is, higher the reiliabilty factor of the product is
Its a Qaulity control thingie
Re: what is "Error Rate requirements"
so u r suggesting that we cant have it until r prototype is ready?
n can i back it up through potential problems/errors?

No you dont need that. I dont know if you heard of DFSS "design for six sigma" concept. Design engineers use that to minimize the error rate right there in design process, no need for prototype
Actual Error rate cannot be determined through prototype, anyway. You need mass production and real life test data to detrmine that
Re: what is “Error Rate requirements”
n wat if the system is totally new?
problem is we are designing a system for Alzheimer’s patiences. ![]()
they dont even remember about themselves so how come i can expect them to tell us about the system
n wat about Standard Guidline requirements in terms of their usability?
Re: what is “Error Rate requirements”
It’s also called margin of error but its not part of the quality system any more. Now we have tolerances as long as the product specs are within the tolerances its no error. Normally in my job we deal with the tolerances of thous. (which is 1/1000 of an inch).
Correct in real life the only answer is mass production and then random batch testing.
Can’t help you on that I feel comfortable working with non living thing than living ones.
SGR is like minimum requirement of a product. eg if you want to produce a glass than your quality matrix should ask for some basic creteria as, it should be made out of certain material, can hold certain amount of volume, dimensions etc etc. For each and every creteria there is a fixed +/- tolerance.
