Does education really mean: go to school, learn how to read and write… memorize some stuff that you learn during the semester, take the exam, put down the answers to the questions asked from what you memorized, pass the exam, come back home, do it again and graduate?
What exactly does the education refer to when we link and relate core-issues of society with lack of education?
Is education something that may not necessarliy need a “school” or “college” to acquire from?
Education is a way of self discovery. It can be through a School, College, University, Madrasa, Masjid, etc etc etc.
No matter how we get it, destination is same. To get to know our selves and our surroundings. Information is biggest hunger that a human has. All the time we use our senses to have it. Once we have it either we absorber it, or rejects it. But in either way its a source of knowledge for us.
Till the time we have our senses, Education is there. It is just not fair to categories it to one shape or form.
Theres a different between Trainign and Education.
Training teaches you the "How's" while Education strives to teach you the "Why's".
In todays age Education refers to College Degrees, the bare minimum of which is a Bachelors. However its not rare to find subject matter experts who never went to college. Such people, apart from running high on luck, are often found to be very determined and goal oriented individuals.
for our parents and society education is becming a dr...engineer....lawyer etc etc...get good grades and always score the highest...if ur not a professional ,...ur not educated..tough!!
This is one of the meaning of education in the dictionary,
*the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life. *
Education is not just about going to school, revising for exams, passing them. It's beyond that. It doesn't necessarily mean acquiring knowledge. Education polishes an individual, it enhaces your personality in so many different ways.
